Oldroyd Intec have a strong pedigree in the design and supply of equipment for the Metal Recovery industry. We are specialist engineers servicing the non-ferrous metal industry, whether that is primary metal smelting plants, secondary metal recycling and smelting plants, metal refineries or foundries.
- Secondary Lead (from lead acid battery and soft lead residues)
- Secondary Aluminium (from dross, turnings & castings)
- Precious Metals (Platinum Group Metals, Silver, Gold, Tin)
- Secondary Copper
- Primary Lead
Each Process has the following stages:
Feedstock Preparation - grading of raw material into metallic residue feedstock for the smelting process, and processing of non-metallic by-products into other saleable material or for disposal.
- Secondary Aluminium Feedstock Preparation
- Secondary Lead - Battery Breaking
- Secondary Lead - Soft Lead Residues (Scrap Dock)
Smelting - this is a high temperature process for converting metallic residue feedstock into metal bullion and slag waste.
- Rotary Furnaces
- Tilting Furnaces
- Static Reverb Furnaces
- Ancillary Equipments (door, feeder, ventilation , gas trail etc).
Refining - this is the purification of the metal bullion from the smelting process to achieve a desired specification culminating in the production of commercial grade metal ingots.
- Holding Pots
- Metal Pumps and Stirrers
- Casting Machines
- Soft Lead Scrap Docks
- Metal Launders
- Holding Furnaces
