Rotary Furnaces and Ancillary Smelting Equipment

Oldroyd Intec are specialists in design and supply of Rotary Furnaces and Ancillary Smelting equipment.

We design and supply the following furnaces to suit your requirements of feedstock, melt cycle and operating temperature with either normally aspirated or oxy-fuel burners.

·         Conventional Rotary Furnaces - short or long shell with front or side tapping spouts
·         Tilting Rotary Furnaces - suitable for Aluminium recovery smelting with 20% less salt addition required over conventional rotary.
·         Top-Blown Rotary Converter (TBRC) - versatile for higher temperature applications

·         Suitable for Lead, Aluminium, Copper and Precious Metals
·         Fully welded heavy plate shell to a length, diameter and thickness as required by the process
·         Operating temperatures up to 16000C
·         Precision machined tyres and pin wheel
·         Short Rotary - 2 or 3 tapping ports at front as standard
·         Long Rotary - tapping ports to the side or at the front as required
·         Bi-directional variable speed braked drive units & optional invertor and controls as required.
·         Precision built rolling stock incorporating special steel alloy rollers with integral high load capacity bearings
·         Sturdy machined base frame
·         pre-assembled, fully painted and tested
·         Safety Guard fitted
·         Furnace door, burner and ancillary options to suit application
Smelting Ancillary Equipment
Oldroyd Intec believe in supplying our customers with the complete smelting package, not just the furnace, and we have as much experience and success in the supply of the entire smelting plant as we do the furnaces themselves. We therefore supply the following equipment to complement the design of the furnace and your plant and operation:

·         Furnace Burners - normally aspirated or oxy-fuel

·         Process Gas Trail including;
o        Hygiene Ventilation
o        Quench Tower
