Vibratory Screens

Vibratory Screens are used in many industries for the seperation and classification of materials and products. Material can be screened either dry, or wet, with the addition of special spray bars which are fitted along the vibratory screen to dampen materials as they pass. Vibratory screens are very popular within the quarrying industry where they are used to seperate gravel and hardcore into different grades.

Several screen decks of different mesh grades can also be utilised where the process requires material to be graded into multiple sizes. The use of eccentric weighted drive technology ensures that our screens have the power to process larger volumes without loosing acceleration.

We provide a full range of vibratory screen ancilliary equipment, including dust enclosures, sound enclosures, bucket elevators, grizzly feeders and more, as well as comprehensive installation and maintenance services. Contact us for more details.

Rotary Furnaces

Rotary furnaces are a very diverse furnace, they are often used in industry to recycle scrap and offcuts for reprocessing or recycling. Rotary furnaces can be used to melt copper, lead, aluminium aswell as other precious metals.  Our conventional rotary furnaces are friction driven via a wheel system and are both bi-directional and variable speed.  The maximum operating temparature of these furnaces is 16000C.

Short rotary models are equipped with either two or three tapping ports on the front of the unit, whereas long rotary models can be fitted with tapping ports to the side of the unit or the front as requested. Our custom steel-alloy rollers, together with the use of high capacity roller bearings mean that these units can handle larger loads. We also design, supply and fit turnkey smelting solutions, contact us for more details.

Mechanical Grabs

Our Electro-Hydraulic mechanical grabs can be used for a wide range of applications, and to make them even more diverse special attachments can be added to facilitate lifting of tubing, bales, rocks, and billets. The bodies of our grabs are constructed from 6 and 8 millimeter mild steel, whilst the jaw plate can be up to an impressive 15 millimeters thick dependant on the application for which the grab will be used.

The hydraulic hoses and pipework are tested to ensure they can withstand shockload pressures of up to 300 bar, whilst the use of hard chrome hydraulic cylinders means that spares can easily be sourced across the globe. We supply two main types of mechanical grab, the first being clam grabs which are generally used for lifting and moving loose materials such as hardcore, metalic feedstock or sand. Our largest clam grab has a 3 cubic meter load capacity and is powered by a 37kw motor.

The second type of mechanical grab supplied by Oldroyd Intec is our multi-tined grabs. These grabs are available with either 5 or 6 tines and up to a 2 cubic meter capacity. Multi tined grabs are used for a wide range of applications including lifting and moving scrap metal and other shredded materials.

About Chemical Reactors

Chemical reactors are used by many companies across a broad spectrum of industries. Chemical reactors allow reactions to be controlled by providing an environment that is both safe and efficient. Commonly used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical components and cosmetics aswell as the food industry chemical reactors are generally purpose made to meet the specific tolerances required by the duty for which the machine will be used.

Chemical reactors will normally fall into one of two categories, batch supply, or continuous supply. A batch supply chemical reactor is filled and allowed to run, and then emptied ready for the next batch. Whereas a continuous supply chemical reactor is not manually filled or emptied, instead the chemicals are added and emptied on an automated basis, this type of reactor is generally used where a continuous supply of the chemical or compound being produced is required.

Oldroyd Intec are specialists in the design and installation of chemical reactors. All related ductwork and piping can also be catered for.
